Donations:

Heron Dance, a nonprofit art studio and publisher, has donated dozens of limited edition prints and tens of thousands of notecards to well over a hundred non-profits including wilderness protection groups, land trusts, hospices, and other organizations doing important work.

We donate the use of our images to non-profits for use in their publications as well as limited edition prints for their silent auctions and other fundraisers. To learn more about how your organization can benefit from this program, call Laura or Emma toll free at 888-304-3766 and dial extension “0” when the phone system answers.

Heron Dance also uses its publications and free weekly e-newsletter, A Pause for Beauty, to help promote the important work of small nonprofits. The work of a selected nonprofit is highlighted in a new section of A Pause for Beauty called Good Works. Approximately 26,000 have signed up to receive this e-newsletter. We also plan on devoting space in future issues of The Heron Dance Nature Art Journal to encourage our readers to learn more about the work of non-profits. To read more about the work of some of the groups that Heron Dance believes in and supports, visit here.

In return for our donations, we ask that the organizations we support make efforts to make their support base aware of the work of Heron Dance. Call us at 888-304-3766, ext 0 or email Emma (emma@herondance.org) to discuss.

We make these efforts and donations in support of our mission, which is focused on fostering the human connection to the natural world. There is common ground between the work of Heron Dance and that of the groups we support, and we believe that we are all stronger when we work together for our common vision of a more balanced, compassionate, and sustainable culture.

Books and Notecards:

In addition to donations, we offer a number of books and notecards at significant discounts for use by non-profits for membership and donor premiums. You can sell or give away these items for the general support of your organization, but they may not be resold to another business (to do so would conflict with our agreement with our wholesale distributor, Adventure Publications). Discounts on all books and notecards for non-profits are very significant. We prefer that organizations prepay (we will consider taking checks if it is your only payment option). Discounts apply to most items offered on our website. Please browse our site and give us a call when you are ready to place an order. To visit our Studio Store, click here.

Specific items offered at major discounts include:

The Heron Dance Book of Love & Gratitude, our best selling title. This book is available in both paperback ($15.95 retail) and hardcover ($23.95 retail). Both editions are very popular with our subscribers and donors and are printed domestically in full color on premium, 100% post-consumer content recycled paper.

Other titles include:

The Man Who Planted Trees: Generosity of Spirit as a Source of Happiness, Jean Giono’s classic tale of service, natural beauty, and thoughtful living ( $45 retail). Hardcover, full color throughout, printed domestically on premium, 100% post-consumer content recycled paper.

We have blank journals such as the Two Egrets Blank Journal, a wide variety of notecards, and The Heron Dance Poetry Diary.

Heron Dance Press has reprinted two classics of wilderness travel that were selling used on Amazon for $80 to $340 a copy. These two books, Sleeping Island and True North, were originally written in the 1930s. We also have two more contemporary wilderness travel/adventure books-- Forest Under My Fingernails, and A Death on the Barrens.

Additionally, Heron Dance has anthologies of the work of Thoreau, Emerson, and Whitman. The retail prices on these range from $11.95 to $24.95, depending on the title and whether the book is hardcover or paperback. This selection can be seen by visiting here.

Excerpts from these books can also be viewed on our website. Links to these excerpts are on the ordering pages.

Packing and shipping for all products (other than the free notecards mentioned above) is a base price of $6 plus $0.75 for each additional item, with a maximum shipping charge of $50 per order. This is less than our cost to pack and ship.

To order, call us toll free at 888-304-3766 and dial extension “0” when the phone system answers.
