Personal Exploration & Journaling Workshop

Heron Dance will hold a personal exploration/journaling workshop October 3-5th at the Heron Dance Building in Monkton, (mailing address North Ferrisburgh) Vermont.
As it turns out, nearby motels and bed & breakfasts are already booked due to fall folliage and a Middlebury College event. Some attendees have indicated a williness to camp out in the backyard at Heron Dance. It is about three acres, one acre of which is lawn. Rod will also camp out there for the weekend. Rod has some tents and sleeping bags available if you need them, but please bring your own if you have them. There may also be accomodation available in the city of Burlington, Vermont, about 30-40 minutes away.

The workshop will explore subjects related to living a balanced, harmonious, meaningful life utilizing journaling and meditation techniques. As an example, Rod will use the time to explore his processes around trying to live life with goodwill. The costs of that life, the circumstances that surround the failures when he has failed, and the consequences. The basic idea is that whether we choose a life of goodwill or a life of self-protectiveness, there are benefits and costs. Often the choices are made without much thought—they are instinctive—and he's interested in confronting his own patterns in this area.

We'll each use the time for our individual exploration. There may or may not be a lot of commonality, and the exploration will be private unless the participants wish otherwise, but as a group we'll use journaling and meditation techniques to access our quiet interior and inner wisdom.
