Painting Workshop Sign Up

Heron Dance will hold a workshop May 29th-31st, 2009 in Burlington, Vermont. This is the first in about eight years to be facilitated by Rod MacIver, our founder. Participation will be limited to fifteen attendees.

There will be some discussion of Rod's technique and his background in art, but the real focus will be the process of nurturing one's own technique and relationship with one's creative process. For participants interested in exploring their creative processes through journaling and meditation, there will be an opportunity to do so. For those interested in using that time to paint, they can do that. The Bishop Booth Center also offers extensive trails through the woods and along the lake, so there will be time for walks in the woods and just simply relaxing.

Attendees should bring whatever media they are most interested in or experienced with. Rod will work with watercolors and acrylic inks--a media in which significant improvements have been made in the last couple of years.

We'll also have a drawing model for one of the sessions.

Both beginning artists and those with an extensive background in art are welcome.

See below for detailed information on the painting workshop.
