Heron Dance protects your online order information by using Secure Sockets Layers (SSL) technology. SSL insures data security and prevents the decoding of your information by unauthorized individuals. Credit card transactions are entered directly in Authorize.net servers using SIM technology.
What information is collected?
At the present time, no information is collected other than what website you were on before you visited ours. We could collect your IP address, information we could use to plan marketing, but we don’t currently have the staff to review the results, so we don’t.
Email addresses are collected from those who purchase products via the Heron Dance website and to send you our free weekly email—A Pause for Beauty—to allow us to send you a confirmation of your order. Your email address is not shared with anyone or any company.
Heron Dance does not collect email addresses of people who visit our site but do not subscribe or purchase items.
Heron Dance does not authorize or allow third parties to collect any information for us or conduct customer surveys.
Mailing Addresses:
Heron Dance shares the postal addresses of customers who make purchases via the Heron Dance website with organizations that Heron Dance deems reputable. This practice has meant our survival during the many lean months we experience here. Heron Dance does not share the names of customers who only browse, email comments or request email updates. If you do not want your information shared, do not want to receive email, or no longer want to be on our publication mailing list, please send an email request to service@herondance.org, and we will remove you from the list or lists you specify. Please provide your name and postal address as it appears on the label in question, and your email address so that your request can be effectively processed. Please let us know if you wish to remain on the Heron Dance Only list or wish to be removed completely from any email and subscription list.
